The needs of Elderly people living in rural areas vary from those staying alone with no relatives to those with orphans and grandchildren.
The elderly in rural areas depend mostly on hand work till they are physically incapacitated. Some well of relatives, provided care and support to their elderly relatives. However, Most of the people in rural areas of Uganda are those people who live under poverty line living the elderly in danger at their age, because there is no one to care. These people have been neglected and they are isolated in the community. They need a decent nutrition, health assistance, housing, education for their dependents, and a way to generate an income.

Who are we!
This is an Organization based in Masaka District of Uganda aiming at giving support to the rural elderly living in a life worse than living under poverty line and these people are completely isolated and ignored and no one cares. These elderly even have dependants who are mostly Orphans and the project covers them too.
Who are we trying to help? What issue are we trying to address?
The purpose of Masaka Rural Elderly Caring Hand (MRESO) is to improve the quality of life of the elderly and their dependents.
